Overview

The Egyptians are an African civilization featured in the first release of Age of Empires III: Wars of Liberty, in September of 2015. The Egyptians, along with the Ethiopians and Zulu, are one of the first original African civilizations introduced in Wars of Liberty.
The Egyptians in-game are based in the XIX century Khedivate of Egypt, a state that got virtual independence from the Ottoman Empire under the rule of Muhammad Ali Pasha.
Muhammad Ali, who is their in-game leader, is also considered the founder of modern Egypt due to his reforms in the military, economic and cultural spheres that he instituted.

Unique Units

Fellah icon Fellah: Cheap weak and amassable raiding infantry.
Naffatun icon Naffatun: Egyptian equivalent of the Grenadier which is Cheaper and weaker.
AFRICANmehariste Mehariste: Ranged Cavalry unit which is good at raiding.
AFRICANmamluk Mamluk: Tough melee cavalry that can sponge a lot of damage.
AFRICANalipasha Muhammad Ali Pasha: Unique Explorer that can boost the gather rate of nearby Villagers or boost the attack of nearby military.
AFRICANhouse Bedouin: Unit that replaces the House.
