"Free Settlers with every Mietkaserne and free Landwehren with every Barracks or Stable built. Landwehren can be levied at Redoubts. Krupp Factories generate artillery units for free. National Guards: Maykafer Line Infantry, Totenkopf Hussar and Garde du Corps Cuirassier." ― In-game description

Overview

The Germans are a European civilization, one of the original playable civilizations from Age of Empires III. In Wars of Liberty, the Germans have been reworked and modernized significantly, keeping some features from the original game and gaining new and powerful bonuses. Their main bonus is now based on the famous efficiency of the Prussian militarism where the state favors a strong military that is ready to be drawn from the populace at all times
Their military roster features many unique units and is based on the army of the Kingdom of Prussia, from the late 19th Century, the time of the Austro-Prussian War (1866), Franco-Prussian War (1870-1871), and to the Unification of Germany under the Chancellor, Otto von Bismarck.

Features

  • Mietskaserne spawns Settler when built.
  • Able to levy Landwehrinfantrie and Landwehrkavalerie from the Redoubt and shipments.
  • Barracks and Stables will spawn Landwehrinfanterie and Landwehrkavalerie respectively when built.
  • Can train artillery for free through their unique building, the Krupp Factory.

  • LandwehrINF Icon Landwehrinfanterie: Ranged militia unit that can be levied from Redoubts. Loses hitpoints over time

  • Telegrafentruppe Icon Telegrafentruppe: German ultimate unit that can receive shipment directly on the field. Regenerates when standing idle.

Unique Buildings

  • House icon Mietskaserne: German unique house, which is more expensive than standard houses, but spawns a free Settler when built and is able to receive shipments.
  • Krupp factory icon Krupp Factory: Unique Artillery Foundry that automatically generates artillery units. Costs 5 population each with a maximum build limit of 4.
